ABOUT THE PROJECT

Know who’s playing before you jump in.

deadgames.gg helps returning multiplayer players understand Steam activity through sourced counts, real trends, and recent game announcements.

A little less guesswork. A better next session.

Reinstalling a multiplayer game should not start with an argument about whether it is “dead.” deadgames.gg brings together Steam player observations, historical averages, and recent announcements so you can make a better-informed decision.

Search a Steam game by name, open its report, and look at the evidence in context. The directory tracks hundreds of games automatically while the collector runs; opening a wider Steam report enrolls that verified game for ongoing collection.

What we value

  • Sourceable numbers. Every data source has a link and a timestamp.
  • Useful context. Steam is not the whole player base, and a co-op squad has different needs from a large competitive lobby.
  • Honest gaps. Unavailable means unavailable. No substitute numbers are generated.
  • Simple return visits. Your watchlist stays in this browser without an account.

Found something that looks wrong?

Compare the observation timestamp and linked source first. Source collection times and platform coverage can explain apparent differences. Our methodology documents how each signal is computed.

Send corrections or questions to hello@deadgames.gg. Include the game, observation time and source you are comparing.
